This is the 2nd draft of the WWB intro text. Comments, corrections, suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Always keep in mind that italian, and not english, is my mother language :)

Purpose: A quick introduction to WWB project.

"In a world without fences, echomail must flow for free"

So, our ambitious goal is to build a IP-based, free of charge, world wide backbone (hence the name, WWB :)) to distribute international echomail as fast as possible and for free. An international backbone not bound to a single Zone, but for the benefit of the entire network as a whole.

If you are just looking for an international echo feed, carrying the whole current backbone and more, feel free to contact us, and specifically who among us is in your same Zone (see below for names and addresses).

We don't ask for money neither implement cost-sharing schemes.

This is not an advertisement!

We are not looking for customers, but for fellow sysops willing to co-operate to this project.

Join us and let's build a World Wide Backbone

If you run a IP system and feel disposed to feed your own Region or Net, please contact us. We need you! :)

All ZECs (ZC if ZEC position is vacant) and RECs (RC if REC position is vacant) are invited to partecipate in WWB_COORD echo, while WWB_SYSOP echo is open to the contribute of every nodelisted sysop.

Both echos are available as protected internet mailing lists if, for the moment, you are unwilling to afford a direct link. See wwb-ml.txt for subscription instructions.
